The High Five Podcast Episode 51 – 90s Teen Titans With Ben Morse

On this week’s episode, I chat with my friend, professor and comic book correspondent Ben Morse about the late 90s Teen Titans book written and drawn for the most part by Dan Jurgens with George Perez on inks for part of the run! Along the way we talk about the end of Marv Wolfman’s run on New Titans, other teen books from this era and the most important elements to creating a successful Teen Titans book! If you want even more context for this one, go back and listen to episodes 18 and 19.

Throughout the episode, we both mention a variety of articles and interviews about this Teen Titans run. Most of these come from TitansTower.com, which is also mentioned in the show. When I went to double check the links, though, the site was undergoing maintenance. I hope they work now!

The High Five Podcast Episode 19 – New Teen Titans With Ben Morse Part 2

On this week’s episode of the podcast, my pal Ben Morse and I close out our conversation on the first three years’ worth of New Teen Titans comics from Marv Wolfman and George Perez! Follow Ben on Twitter and Instagram!

Between last week’s episode and this week’s I mentioned two interviews I read in prep for the episode. The Wolfman one is here, the Perez one is here.

We talked about a lot of other Titans-related books, here’s a few artistic representations. I couldn’t find an image of the Tom Grummett Titans poster online, but you can check out the one I had below!

The High Five Podcast Episode 18 – New Teen Titans With Ben Morse Part 1

This week I’m joined by the fantastic Ben Morse to discuss one of the most seminal runs of comics, New Teen Titans by Marv Wolfman and George Perez. Recorded in the spring of 2020, we discuss the run, how it was reflected in modern comics and what we think of the mixing of genres (spoiler: it’s awesome). Do yourself a favor and follow Ben on Instagram and Twitter!

Super Podcast Fun Time

As I’m sure I mentioned before, my fellow Twisted ToyFare Theatre writers and I were interviewed by the War Rocket Ajax guys and I’m excited even though they spelled my last name wrong in the write up. Hit the above link to check it out. I haven’t had a chance to listen yet, but I hear we’re on around minute 17, but I’m sure the whole thing’s enjoyable. Also, get a load of this awesome poster they made. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Mego Spidey drawn so well, he looks sick. I will be saving this image!

In other podcast news, my buddy Ben Morse got interviewed over on the Robot Sweatshop podcast in regards to his epic Werewolf By Night Christmas story. Make sure to check that one out too.

Happy listening!
