Toy Commercial Tuesday: Zap It

I like to call this toy commercial “Bobby gets what’s coming to him.” I remember thinking these purple spraying water guns from back in the day (before they outlawed toy guns that look like real guns) were pretty cool, especially because the purple faded after it was on someone. At least, that’s what the commercials said. I’m sure a kid or two got a slap for running up on dad or the mail man or a drunk uncle and spraying with them with purple, but couldn’t explain what it was thanks to the ensuing giggle fit. Maybe Zap It should have come with a card that you could hand someone right after you sprayed them explaining either that it would fade or where to get your shit dry cleaned.
