2 Guns Red Band Trailer Brings Out The Big Guns

Depending on which channels you watch or radio stations you listen to, you’ve probably seen and heard a lot of ads for 2 Guns. The film stars Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg as two undercover investigators from different organizations who join forces after realizing they’re being set up.

Baltasar Korm├íkur helmed the project which reunited him with Contraband star Wahlberg. From the looks of things, the flick seems to be a pretty solid mix of action and comedy, with Wahlberg playing the colorful jokester to Washington’s far more serious straight man.

The red band trailer below features many of the scenes from the TV spots, but with a few more explosions, Wahlberg witticisms and the occasional swear word. It’s technically NSFW (depending on where you work), but only just barely.

Based on a Steven Grant comic of the same name 2 Guns also stars Bill Paxton, Paula Patton, James Marsden, Edward James Olmos and Fred Ward. The movie opens this Friday.

Four Movies I’m Looking Forward To In 2010

There’s a lot going on what with it being New Year’s Eve and partying to be done tonight, so I figured I’d do a quick post about some movies I’m looking forward to coming out next month.

Youth In Revolt January 8th
I haven’t read the book, but I can easily relate to a meek kid who wants to change into someone more suave. Plus, the cast is chockablock full of goodness. I don’t think I’ll see it in theaters, but I’m looking forward to the rental.

Daybreakers January 8th
Remember the good ol’ days when vampires were scary? Me too, but only vaguely. I like to think that the vampires that took over the world in Daybreakers used the cute ones from Twilight to lure the humans in and then sent in these ugly bruisers. Hopefully I’ll get to the theater for this one.

The Book Of Eli January 15th
I’m a big fan of post apocalyptic movies and I like Denzel Washington, so this one looks pretty good though I’m still not quite sure what it’s about.

Legion January 22nd
The trailer running on TV with the old lady turning into a demon freaks me out every time (just a little). I feel like I’ve read tons of comics with this kind of angel-sent-to-Earth-to-fight-evil premise, but not many movies and especially not many with this kind of cast and this level of special effects.
