It’s All Connected: Cry Of The Banshee (1970)

Well, it was bound to happen again. With a project like It’s All Connected where I’m bouncing around between movies I love and those I’ve never seen, I knew I would hit a few that did not sit well with me. I did not like Dressed To Kill, but I pretty much hate the 1970 Gordon Hessler/Vincent Price project Cry Of The Banshee. What happened and how did I get here?

It’s All Connected: Theater Of Blood (1973)

After making my way through a few less-Vincent Pricey-than-I-hoped movies like Alice Cooper: Welcome To My Nightmare and Escapes, I wanted to get back to a full-blown performance for It’s All Connected, and, as it turned out, 1973’s Theater Of Blood was exactly what I wanted!

It’s All Connected: The Fury (1978)

I was pretty excited when I realized that my previous It’s All Connected 2020 selection, Phantom Of The Paradise,  was directed by Brian De Palma. As I mentioned in that post, I’ve seen a few of his movies, but none of his horror pictures, aside from Carrie. As it happened, I was able to find many of his films from the 70s and 80s streaming, so I went through parts of his filmography in chronological order for a bit, moving into 1978’s The Fury after Paradise.
