The missus saw a few moments of Conan’s monologue tonight and said, “He’s still got the beard? He looks like Santa from Santa Claus Is Coming To Town.” Of course, she was talking about young, thin Santa. I’ll let the pictures talk for themselves. 
She might be onto something here…

What a coincidence – we caught the Christmas episode of Backyardigans yesterday (Roxanne’s favorite TV show) and Conan did the voice of Santa!
Here’s how I see it: Rankin & Bass created this figure who somehow gained sentience, wrote for some excellent TV shows, became a talk show host and then went back and voiced Santa. That’s super meta.
The toy has no mustache. I call blatant shenanigans.
