Toy Commercial Tuesday: M.U.S.C.L.E. Belt & Ring

I was at a loss when it came to today’s TCT. I sat staring at YouTube trying to figure out what to search, so instead of racking my brain, I asked my buddy Rickey to name a somewhat obscure 80s toy line and he came up with a fantastic one: M.U.S.C.L.E. These little peach-colored rubber figures had zero articulation, but apparently you could buy a wrestling championship belt to put them in and strap them into a ring that turned them into Rock Em Sock Em Robots. Gotta love the ingenuity they showed in adding play value to a toy that doesn’t do much. If you want to learn more about M.U.S.C.L.E. I highly recommend digging up an issue of ToyFare from a few years back that got really indepth on these toys. Great stuff.
