Conan’s Bid To Become The Next Oprah

Okay, so I admit I hadn’t heard about this until last night when I tuned into Conan after watching The Replacements (love that movie) on Bravo. Apparently Conan has been pitching himself as Oprah’s replacement for a while now. So, I went back and grabbed all the hilarious clips from Hulu to put them in one convenient place for everyone. Note that instead of recommending books like Oprah does (he’s not “a big book guy”) Conan recommends a a made for TV horro movie called Killdozer, a CD by Stephen Seagal, a 2010 chicken calendar, Leprechaun 4: Leprechaun in Space (which I have on VHS).

The opening salvo, November 20. Conan recommends the Killdozer DVD.

Part 2, November 23. Conan recommends the Extraordinary Chickens 2010 Calendar.

Part 3, November 24, Conan recommends Steven Seagal’s CD Songs From The Crystal Cave and the DVD A Gnome Named Gnorm.

Part 4, November 25, Conan recommends Vanilla Ice’s movie Cool As Ice, offers up Max Weinberg as his relationship expert and shows off his wax Tom Cruise being weird.

Part 5, December 1, Conan recommends Leprechaun In The Hood. Of course I’ve seen it and of course it’s terrible.

Part 6, December 2, Conan recommends Leprechaun Back 2 The Hood.

Tonight, Conan recommended Leprechaun 4: Leprechaun In Space (interestingly enough, he started with In the Hood, which came out in 2000, then the 2003 sequel and then In Space which came out in 1997). He also claimed that the Steven Seagal CD and the chicken calendar are being sold on Amazon together in a pair and indeed they are! I’m not going to wait around for the clip, but here’s the screencap I took from Amazon right after he said that:
