Here you can see a painted Superman poster over Darlene’s left shoulder. I couldn’t place it and a search for “Superman poster” on Google Images really didn’t get me anywhere and I looked through 20 or more pages of results. Luckily, I sent this image around to some of my buddies and they called it perfectly: the cover of Superman: Man Of Steel #1 (the ongoing series) by Jon Bogdanove. The series launched in 1991, one year before I got into Superman comics, which explains why I couldn’t place it. I figured it was a blown up trading card image, actually.
