I was watching some episodes of Saturday Night Live from the second season DVD set and was completely mesmerized by the performances, mostly the above “I Am The Slime.” I know Zappa’s got a crazy number of records, but can anyone tell me a good place to start? If not, definitely enjoy the videos. I can’t remember another musical performance on SNL that did this much, from having Don Pardo participate to the goo running down the monitors. Inspired!
