No, this isn’t a comic book reference and I would wager cash money it wasn’t intentional, but when I saw Dan wearing white overalls and a red shirt the first thing I thought of was Fire Flower Marion from the Super Mario games which just got me thinking that John Goodman would have made an excellent live action Mario. It wasn’t until I started looking images up to post here that I realized the color scheme was switched, but I thought it was funny enough to post.
