Last week I mentioned the Visionaries and how, as a kid my hologram-sporting toys of choice were the Super Naturals, I think you can see why in this commercial. No, it’s not as cool of a commercial by any means (no break dance battle), but it does show off why Super Naturals were the far superior toy: they used the holograms more effectively. Instead of just slapping a sticker on a shield or something, the Super Naturals’ faces and torsos are actually portrayed using the holograms. They switch from people to animals with just the turn of the wrist! I think I had that Lionheart guy. I know it’s a knight wearing gold armor with a glow-in-the-dark white sword that looks like wood. Ah the 80s, what a great time to be a fan of action figures!
